Marks and Spencer Fish and Chip Pie

Marks and Spencer have launched a Fish and Chip Pie as part of their Gastropub range.
I've never seen a fish and chip pie before in a Gastropub but I don't often patronise these places of pretentiousness.

It's quite a big pie, weighing 295g.
It's a meal in one pie as it contains layers of chips, cod, tartare sauce and minted peas.
The pie is topped with chips rather than a crust and you'll also find more chips inside the pie.

I doused mine in non-brewed condiment and sprinkled with sea salt. The chips on top were very tasty, more like real chips than "Oven chips." The pastry wasn't too thick and the filling was creamy. This fiend would have preferred a little more cod but what was there was cut in thick chunks.
Not a bad little meal. Would be nice served with a pickled onion.

You'll find it in M and S in the chilled section.
