Shake and Splash




Prefer the chippy staff to do the Shake and Splash or prefer to do it yourself?

Most chip shops have the salt and vinegar on the counter but some keep the bottles behind the counter. If anyone knows the reason for this please let us Chip Fiends know.

This Chip Fiend likes to do their own Shake and Splash. It's a ritual.
Salt. Shake the chips so the salt falls to the bottom.
Vinegar.
Salt. A second dose of salt for the chips on top.

If the salt and vinegar is kept behind the counter for the staff to sprinkle then the above ritual is prevented.

Staff are happy to add a little more salt and vinegar when requested but we still prefer to do it ourselves.
